From the age of 9 (which really is a long time ago), and after entering her first talent competition, KJ began performing on stage as a vocal artist progressing over the years to create her own show as a tribute to Karen Carpenter as well as working alongside another entertainer providing a professional karaoke service back when karaoke first arrived on the scene in the UK.Moving from London to Cambridgeshire in the late nineties meant having to re-build a client base locally as well as still performing in London whenever possible. A chance meeting with another local entertainer in 2004 created the opportunity to provide the karaoke service again and to date; this is still one of the major services offered.
Whilst her children were at Nursery, KJ developed a love for face painting and after spending a couple of years researching the industry and getting up to scratch, in 2000 KJ's Fancy Faces (later to become FANCY FACES by Kelly-Jane) was born. Face painting is still very much at the forefront of the services offered and incorporated well into the Krazy Kidz Parties.
KJ has very eclectic taste in music but lists her main idols as Elvis Presley, Karen Carpenter, Eva Cassidy, Freddie Mercury and the very multi-talented Carole King. With a huge love of Motown music, KJ has recently started learning more about the Northern Soul sound and it is yet another genre we are able to list as a specialty. KJ is very much a "disco" chick and relishes in music from the 70s and regularly takes over as DJ whenever this genre is requested. Being a teenager in the 80s brings a great knowledge of "pop" music from back then whilst adding that female touch to any event. Today's music scene brings lots of new acts for KJ to listen to but she would be the first to tell you that Take That (both old and new) are at the top of the list. She has huge respect for singer/songwriters and prefers to listen to a song with meaning in the lyrics as well as a good melody. KJ is always learning new material to perform and still regularly picks up classics from bygone eras and puts a new spin on them. In 2006, KJ met Dan and as they say, the rest is history!

From a very young age Dan was always interested in music and found his voice through many lead roles in school productions.
When he was finally old enough to drink in a pub, he found himself very much the centre of attention around the Downham Market area when he was asked to sing Acapella on many occasions. Not having any equipment or music available to him, he relied purely on his voice; the one thing that KJ noticed when they first met.
Dan also has very eclectic taste in music with two of his favourites being Kiss and Elton John who could not be further apart from each other. His first love is rock music but he also appreciates a well written ballad too. Dan would tell you his musical influences include Guns 'n' Roses, Thunder, Nirvana, Green Day, The Blues Brothers and Garth Brooks as well as the aforementioned Kiss and Elton John but he also harbours a secret love for Westlife!
The noughties brought a love of dance, urban and R'n'B for Dan and he himself would say this is his speciality when it comes to DJing. Newer artists he favours include the Black Eyed Peas, Flo-Rida and N-Dubz.
KJ ENTERTAINMENTS
After meeting in 2006 whilst KJ was working at a local karaoke night, Dan became a regular fixture alongside KJ helping out with setting up the equipment, etc. Later that same year, KJ was able to purchase some new equipment and went from being just KJ to KJ Entertainments and Dan became a permanent member of the team and "Pride" was born. KJ went from performing as a solo vocalist to being one half of Pride, a male/female vocal duo covering hits from the 1950s right up to the present day.
The following year we were approached about doing a disco for some friends and thereupon Dan found his niche. While KJ manages the karaoke side, Dan brings his own spin to the turntables as "The Catt". Needless to say our own varying taste in music gives us a great opportunity to provide a complete package to you.
